Dr R. Saraswathi, B.Sc., PGDTA, MBA, MTM, MPhil., PhD is an academician serving the students community for 25 years. She is an able administrator, an erudite scholar & academician, a dynamic and versatile person. She completed her doctorate in the field of Medical Tourism. She is having 25 years of teaching experience in various subjects in Management, Tourism, and Hospitality. As she is having 14 years of research experience, she has authored four books with title of Tourism Marketing, Tourism Management, Hospitality Marketing and Human Resource Management in Hospitality Industry. Also she has published sixteen articles with ISBN in Tourism field.

She was the member of Board of Studies for Hotel Management Department in Bharathidasan University, Trichy. She has prepared E-Contents on the subject Tourism Policy for UGC sponsored Multi-media project of Mysore University. She was also a member in question paper setting board for Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET). She has served as a member in question paper setting board for Madras University, Madurai Kamaraj University, Bharathiyar University and Thiruvalluvar University. She worked as a vice chairman in Answer paper evaluation board at Anna University. She has served as subject expert for distance education at Madurai Kamaraj University, Bharathidasan University and IGNOU for more than 15 years.

She has guided more than hundred students for pursuing their higher education in foreign universities across the world. Also she is guiding Post Graduate, M.Phil. and PhD scholars. She has attended and conducted many Faculty Development Programmes. She has good experience in training students through soft skill programmes.
